We shape the space, people, backgrounds and the idea behind RaumFormer, about us

Anton Kaufmann | Owner | Unexpected Jean Tinguely and the obsession with shaping usable objects from scrap metal gave me the idea to found the company Raumformer in 1998. My trained professions as an electronics fitter and dental technician still form the basis of my skills today. I first learned welding in 1994 at the Migros Club School. I was immediately captivated by how quickly you can combine metal with this technique. I taught myself welding by doing. My hobby became my new profession, Raumformer. After years of experimenting, expanding, and finding myself, I am now living my dream, with the line between life and work barely perceiving itself. True to my life motto "No risk, no fun," I look forward to many more years of shaping things.

Thomas Moser | Instructor | Consultant After Tom attended a welding course with us, he wanted to quickly finish something in the open workshop. "Quickly finish something" turned into years... It's hard to pinpoint when his "welding course" ended and he started working with us. Tom has been an integral part of our team for over 10 years and has been an instructor for creative welding courses and team events for 8 years. He also oversees our external courses and consultations for teachers in craft classes or for apprentice internships, etc. Tom is a qualified polymechanic, training manager, and single father of two teenagers, a great guy AND single...

Daniel Kaufmann | Production | Instructor After completing his mechanic training, he was the first snowboarder in Adelboden to be legally allowed to ride a chairlift in 1985. As a token of his gratitude, he spent 22 years building and maintaining the "Gran Masta" snowboard park in the ski area, finally handing it over to his successor in 2017. Daniel produces all of our fire objects, is a welding course and event instructor, and my favorite brother.

Heidi & Heinz Kaufmann | Freelancer | Catering | Maintenance An unbeatable team for over 50 years. The two of them regularly support us with dedication and patience like only parents can. Heinz ensures that the shop is technically maintained; after 50 years in the steel mill, he can smell it when the wire reel is running low. Heidi ensures the shine and transparency of the business. But their passion is best felt in the stomach area, while consuming lovingly prepared aperitifs and catering creations. I owe a large part of the fact that I'm living my dream today to these two people. With their patience, humility, and helpfulness, as well as their curiosity about what's to come, they remain my favorite role models to this day.

Cyril Widmer | Freelancer | Instructor When I turned him down 15 years ago while looking for a job, he promptly founded his own creative metal company, KYRILES. Cyril is my biggest and favorite competitor in the canton. His countless temporary positions have shaped him into an experienced, multifaceted, and focused craftsman. His mind and eye are focused on attention to detail, while his heart and body are focused on efficiency. www.kyriles.ch
